History

The family crest, which appears on our labels, was bestowed in 1438 by the Emperor Albrecht II, who ruled over Frankonia, Germany.

The 2 stars symbolize the fortune of this family while the wing of the eagle in red and black sitting atop on the crowned helmet reflects the rise and the strength of the family.

The family's estate was known by this name for generations until 1936, when it was changed to commemorate the union between the Kemmeter and Reinhardt families.

The Owners

As a German native, I was born into a family of farmers and winemakers in a little village near Wuerzburg, Franconia (Germany). Growing up in an environment like that shaped in me a deep appreciation and love for the fruit of the soil in general and the fruit of the vine in particular.

Years of formal training, studies and experiences in small to mid-sized wineries throughout Germany shaped and molded my ever-growing passion for vineyard and cellar.

In 1999, I got the chance to work in the United States for one season at Dr. Konstantin Frank Vinifera Wine Cellars in the Finger Lakes, NY. Shortly thereafter, in August 2000, I was hired as the winemaker for Anthony Road Wine Company.

The dream and hope to establish, one day, a small boutique winery became true in the summer of 2013, when my wife Imelda and I opened the doors to our tasting room, located between Penn Yan and Geneva, NY in the Finger Lakes.
